How could they? when she was far less offense than Trump and his surrogates are on a daily basis
She delivered exactly what the media tolerates from Trump's administration on a daily basis, however now suddenly the media is outraged because rather than being slowly boiled like the frog in the boiling frog experiment the way Trump does it, she threw it out there without any fakeness or cowardly dog whistles, and they couldn't pretend that they missed it and pretend to ignore it they way they constantly do with Trump, Sanders, and Conway.

Politics is supposed to be technical. Policy is boring, but it is vital to the lives of every American. Journalists should be making sure that the public is informed about what the government is doing, but I would argue that the majority of the people don't care about chained CPI or Omnibus spending bills, unless it hits them directly in the pocket book, even then many of them still care more about what the Housewives of "whatever frickin city" are doing, or who is going #12 in the NFL draft, or whatever else than they do about the US dropping 20 million dollars worth of ordinance in Yemen for what...
Wolf exposed in blunt terms, that the press corp is "riding the knob". That they helped to push this ugly, inexperienced, incurious, self absorbed, fool into the presidency by not vetting him properly, by not exposing the shenanigans that were going on behind the scenes with Russia, Stein, voter suppression and possible vote tampering. They made it into the "horse race" that sells air time, most of them knowing that a win for Trump would do serious damage to our institutions and the rule of law.
They refuse to see it and don't want to accept it, so they focus on some raunchy material and creative interpretation of Wolf's critiques, and they once again feel self satisfied that they are the guardians of integrity.
