Another Trip on the Wayback Machine: Jade Helm Hysteria
As we attempt to get our heads around the ongoing Trumpster debacle, the 2016 electoral madness, Michael Hayden, former NSA & CIA Director, suggests taking a trip back to 2015 and revisit the military Jade Helm exercises in Texas. You might vaguely recall Governor Abbott acquiescing to the conspiracy nuts, ordering the State Guard to monitor the Federal military exercises because the ongoing disinformation campaign convincedthe more paranoid and unhingedthat a roundup of political dissidents was at hand. Texas statehood was at stake; a Federal coup was blowing in the wind. Be Afraid!
All under the command of President Obama. Of course.
How did this happen and why?
Hayden has pointedly said that Jade Helm was a test case for Russian bots and the alt-right media to disrupt, confuse and spread a conspiracy information virus into the body politic. It worked surprisingly well and encouraged the instigators to expand the technique to our electoral process.
If Hayden is correct, one of the flash points to what weve witnessed sincethe Trumpster dumpster firestarted in Texas and was fanned, along with other elements, into the 4-alarm disaster were living in the moment.

Btw, the Wayback Machine is an interesting and instructive way to pinpoint what we missed in the lead-up to the Trumpster Train. Hopefully, we learn. Even if it is the Hard Way.
Obama's plan was to distract, while Michelle Obama's lesbian lovers confiscated all the gunz. Luckily, and thanks to the Russians, the plot failed!
But of course!
You know I hadn't recalled Jade Helm until I read about Hayden's comments. Then I remembered the craziness which most people shrugged off, laughed about and/or used as just another example of an Alex Jones conspiracy moment.
To consider it was much more than that is pretty revealing. For me at least. I never thought back in 2015 that the whackos would get a foothold.
Now we all know different.
Reread a Garry Kasparov quote this morning:
The point go modern propaganda isn't only to misinform or push an agenda. It os to exhaust your critical thinking, to annihilate truth.
Juanita Jean remembers the furor over this conspiracy theory http://juanitajean.com/jade-helm-was-a-russian-job/
It was the end of the damn world, yall.
They even got governor Greg Abbott to send out the Texas State Guard to monitor the army to make sure they didnt sneak around stealing guns.
Oh Good Lord. Even the day after the training was over and everything was okay, the nuts said it would have happened if they hadnt been watching. And, you know, scaring crap outta each other and emptying the food shelves of Walmart.
Juanita Jean was happy to see that this was a Russian disinformation stunt
They got pranked. By Russia.
And the head dope? Texas Republican Governor Greg Abbott.
Were gonna enjoy this.
I mean the whole thing is so-o-o over the top. Yet more than a few bought the lie and ran with it.
And the fact that Abbott acquiesced to the nonsense really calls into question: What did the Republicans know and when did they know it?
Greg is an idiot who was played by the russians https://www.texasobserver.org/how-greg-abbott-got-played-by-the-russians-during-his-jade-helm-freakout/
At least thats what former NSA and CIA director Michael Hayden said on a Morning Joe podcast about the governors decision in 2015 to deploy the Texas State Guard to monitor federal troops.
Hayden said, There was an exercise in Texas called Jade Helm 15 that Russian bots in the American alt-right media convinced most many Texans was an Obama plan to round up political dissidents.
Abbott fell right into the trap, Hayden said, by legitimizing conspiracy theories with official state action. At that point, Im figuring the Russians are saying, We can go big time, and at that point I think they said Were going to play in the electoral process.
Or did he allow himself to be played.
I don't trust any of these weasels.
The Republican Party owes the American public a slew of answers to very pointed questions. Unless we're to believe that the Republican platform just 'happened' to be changed to suit the Russian position in Ukraine, this whole dirty affair was in the making for some time. The Jade Helm nonsense is one more puzzle piece.
