(10,156 posts)I have a fear of getting hit by something from space, ever since I was a kid. I got totally freaked out by movies that had asteroids.

(47,427 posts)I made it a point to tune out for as long as I could and I read a mystery novel in two days. It did help some, but of course that is only temporary. Turned the news back on and reality was far more bizarre and unbelievable than fiction. Now I'm trying Mozart and wine!

(47,427 posts)right now. People are emotionally exhausted, dealing with uncertainty and hopelessness. The whole world is out of whack and I think that people in Europe must have felt like this in the lead up to the 2nd World War. It surely must have felt like the End Times to them. Philosophically speaking, I suppose it is all a cleansing process, but the uncertainty is debilitating. At least we still have wine!
