Actually, I think Trump just gave North Korea what they desperately wanted: recognition of being a nuclear power and someone the USA must negotiate with. We got nothing in return, and North Korea can't continue nuclear testing anyway because of the collapse of their test site.

to get some concessions and secure his place in North Korea. Kim knows trump's weakness is his love of Trump, so he will exploit it to get what he wants.
Kim will give Trump some nothings that sound good allowing Trump to brag and look good to his base while doing nothing - maybe even going backwards - on North Korean peace.

If I were in South Korea, I would be very, very wary.

He is involved with everything. He is a world power and with China he plans on taking every Western democracy down. I read that he is influencing Iran, Korea and probably a lot of others.

USA has been major player if not most influential factor in Korea stabilizing talks. But the USA has relinquished the influence we had two years ago. We chose a wacky leader and that wacky leader proved early on that he would always be wacky and consistently enact wacky policy. It's like when mom and dad get dementia the kids instinctively assume a role of caretaker, and quickly develop more emotionally mature and leadership driven behaviors. I can see this being the case with N. and S. Korea.

Hopefully the sudden urge for peace is nothing more than dogs moving up the pack once the US went rabid. Seeing that Donald was about to run the show, the Koreas figured they'd go ahead and fix their own shit.

OR it's Putin? Probably both.

..planes previously negotiated with Iran.
A big deal for Boeing & its production plants in the US. Someone else now will get those contracts, most likely Russia.

Will try to find the link on this to post later as that's yet another story as to the fallout of Iran...

As for N Korea, this article is worth looking at.

KAI vice president found dead amid corruption scandal
By Yeo Jun-suk

A senior official of Korea Aerospace Industries was found dead Thursday in an apparent suicide, amid a sprawling prosecutorial probe into corruption allegations surrounding the head of the country’s sole aircraft manufacturer.

According to police, the body of Kim In-sik, who was in charge of KAI’s overseas business as vice president, was found at his home in Sacheon, South Gyeongsang Province. A three-page suicide note was found near his body.

Elected as KAI chief in 2013, Ha is also suspected of creating slush funds and inappropriately lobbying Cheong Wa Dae officials and lawmakers for his reappointment in May 2016, when former President Park Geun-hye was in power.

Before joining KAI in 2005, Kim had assumed various posts in the Air Force, including commander of the 8th Fighter Wing and executive officer to the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. He was also in charge of an aircraft procurement project in the Defense Acquisition Program Administration.

He began his civilian career at KAI by working as a contractor in the United Arab Emirates. Since then, he has supervised most of the company’s overseas projects, including a deal to sell FA-50 jets to Iraq in 2013.

Eric Garland has a good discussion on this KAI & Cohen company.

12. Putin is absolutely behind this.

Several things happened around the same time, in my humble estimation; North Korea started ramping up it's nuclear provacations and Trump started laying the groundwork for his campaign. Two prongs of the same advance.

He's buddy's with Rodman, a former "Apprentice" contestant, and now he's got the top dog as a new buddy. Can't wait to see if Don bows to Kim, yanks him over with a handshake or kisses him. The whole thing is weird.
