First of all, she's a great boss! She makes no secret about her beliefs, but she doesn't push them and she's very tolerant.
She did mention in a group setting that she tried to take her "kids" (they are grown, but they'll always be her kids) out to Chik Fil A ignorant of all the controversy.
This is what we both thought was funny - her son said that because of their Christian beliefs that Chik Fil A will be the only Fast Food restaurant in Heaven. However, because they are closed on Sunday and because it's always Sunday in Heaven - they would always be closed.
One of the other associates in the group pointed out that would actually be Hell, always being hungry for fast-food and the only fast-food available was constantly closed.
Luckily, I was there to re-direct the conversation toward something actually work-related. Not that it was really urgent, but it gave everyone an excuse to change the subject.
Personally, I boycotted Chik Fil A a long time ago when they were putting religious brain-washing material in their kid's meals.
Plus, I hate Dill Pickles. So it wasn't really very hard for me.
