5. What about the Clinton investigations?

They went on, in one form or another, for pretty much his entire Presidency (8 years). Whitewater was investigated to death. I mean, that was one dead horse. And then the Whitewater investigations branched out into just about every "scandal" the Republicans in Congress imagined. In the end, the only thing that came out was Clinton lying in a deposition that, frankly, he should have never had to even participate in and was not tied to Whitewater at all. I believe that there was even one more Congressional "investigation" of the Clintons that happened in the year after Bush II was inaugurated regarding the supposed "sack" of the WH as they were leaving that, like almost everything else, yielded zip and fizzled out.
