Hoover was like so many country club Republicans: they have a good side - until you cross them in any way (even if it's very much warranted).

But then all anyone remembers him for now, are for his namesake Hoovervilles - a testament to his ideological refusal to put government to work for his ailing nation.

As in...how he can suck the maximum profit for himself out of each and every one of us. We exist to enrich him. He never developed a moral framework, like so many other Republicans only worse.
