Yes, it is true, America is all but gone and maybe the entire human race will be soon, BUT

sure beats having a president who owned a private server and who dedicated her life to helping those in need and in fact did help MILLIONS thru her foundation.

What was SHE thinking, wanting to be president when instead we could say shit like

"emails"

"private server"

"just cant trust her, something tells me she cant be trusted"

or my favorite, in a very loud voice so EVERYONE within blocks or all over the internet could hear:

"I will vote for her but I will HOLD MY NOSE because she is just barely better than the alternative"

And this happened even AFTER the primary, in fact ESPECIALLY the last thing happened AFTER the primary.

By then it was clear what the ACTUAL alternative was, a fucking NAZI yet we had to listen to this SHIT

So this has NOTHING to do with the primary, does it!

She focused on the personalities instead of ideology. Republicans have truly mastered the art of personality campaigning. What Hillary failed to learn from Bernie's campaign, or even her own husband's successful presidential bid, was that liberals are much stronger as ideological candidates and vulnerable in a personality campaign. Hillary was often complaining about Trump's tweets and how irresponsible he is. All true, but irrelevant when Republicans have spent 24 years creating a false narrative of Hillary's own questionable character. The Republicans successfully questioned Kerry's military service when their own candidate was almost a draft dodger AND a deserter. We now have a paid Russian operative running the country as was reported on the cover of Time and the New York times before the election. Negative campaigning has completely failed for liberals everywhere and forever. We need to stop doing it.

Bernie is not an inspirational speaker. What we all loved about him is that his platform was what we wanted to vote for and he campaigned on his platform instead of against Hillary or Trump. Bill Clinton did the same thing in 1992. Go back to the General Discussion and compare how many threads are bashing Trump against how many threads are about what Democrats would do to make the country better if we win in the fall. Negative campaigning works for conservatives because all they have to do is keep us divided to win. We can only win when we are positive about who we are and how we want to make our country better.

I think Hillary is a good person who has used her opportunities to help as many people as possible. My point is it's a lot easier to demonize a person than a platform. It doesn't matter who we put forward the Republicans will demonize them. Everyone who watches Fox is already ready to hate anyone we put forward and the Republicans just have to get a small number of people on our side to see the same thing to tilt the elections their way.

If we focus on a platform that can solve problems most voters agree on, it's a lot harder for Republicans to be against it. Instead of Schumer and Pelosi we can make affordable housing, social mobility, and achievable retirement the face of the Democratic party.

Also old comment sections. I also find that in current articles the authors/pundits
usually have a “tell” whether or not they participated in the demonization of Hillary. It’s utterly depressing, but I don’t want this to happen again, so I don’t want to forget a damn thing.
