Putin has succeeded - "The West as we once knew it no longer exists."

Why Germans Are Getting Fed Up with America

It’s getting harder for Angela Merkel and the German elite to hold back growing anti-Americanism.

By Leonid Bershidsky

"The West as we once knew it no longer exists. Our relationship to the United States cannot currently be called a friendship and can hardly be referred to as a partnership. President Trump has adopted a tone that ignores 70 years of trust. He wants punitive tariffs and demands obedience. It is no longer a question as to whether Germany and Europe will take part in foreign military interventions in Afghanistan or Iraq. It is now about whether trans-Atlantic cooperation on economic, foreign and security policy even exists anymore. The answer: No."

Can you imagine where we will be by the end of his first term? God forbid he wins a second term. I can't even say what I am thinking right now.

Will they have started arresting 'non-believers' by then?

Or people with negative trump FB posts?

I don't think that these are things that are too far-fetched if this administration remains in power. People like to deny the comparisons between our current administration and Germany under Hitler, but I can absolutely see it happening. We can already see how he is immune to the rule of law. That means nothing can stop him from whatever he wants to do.

It's best to make it known that you did not vote for trump and that we all will be happy when he is gone.

When people asked where were from we said San Francisco. It was code for us to say we were not his supporters. A couple of people asked how could Our country elect such a liar after having the intelligent thoughtful President Obama.

“Now, another incomprehensible economic spectacle is unfolding parallel to Trump’s pressure on European steel and aluminum exporters. National Security Adviser John Bolton is threatening sanctions against European companies for dealing with Iran — and, at the same time, Secretary of State Mike Pompeo is promising U.S. investment in North Korea if it denuclearizes. Wasn’t that what the Iran deal was about?
“So, American firms will soon be able to do business in North Korea, but not European ones in Iran,” commentator Mark Schieritz wrote on Twitter. “

Non of us should be disheartened by
what Trump is doing. Trump will pass
as nothing comes to stay.
Putin has not won unless we decide
to loose, and we have not conceded and
we will not as long as we have people
like you who care and love America
and the ideals it stand for.
We will not back down.We will not be
intimated by a corrupt leader supported
by disgraceful political party.
The lesson is clear again, as it has played
through out history, nothing should be
taken for granted. Freedom, democracy
and basic rights can be lost if we do
not protect and defend them.
