Trump's Cancellation of USA/SK exercises tells us something.

It tells us that he is going to make a "deal" with Kim Jong Un, no matter what makes up that deal. It is not the goal of this "deal" to denuclearize North Korea or any other such thing. The goal is to have a "deal." What that deal is is a matter of indifference to Trump.

He's not concerned with any threats. He's not concerned with stability in greater Korea. He is only concerned about having a "deal" to crow about and to divert attention from the criminal investigation against him and his cronies.

He has clearly signaled that intent. He is no longer arguing from strength. He is not really arguing at all. There WILL be a deal, come Hell or high water. Trump will make it so.
