(6,589 posts)Mueller isn't close to the end I think many of old school Repugs will deny it's real and scream fake news. I want the Dems to show solid evidence of all the destruction of all these environmental laws, and all the other Obama laws and rules the Rump administration has overturned. Esp the farmers bills and state parks and things like that. Hopefully, we won't be in a world war by then.

(24,412 posts)if Democrats don't mention Trump and what he's doing to the institution of the Presidency and Federal Government in general. I don't think that Democrats should completely ignore the issue. I mean, he's profiting off the Presidency in ways that we have never seen before in our life and he and his minions are equally corrupt and flat out trying to interfere with a criminal investigation. I would be extremely curious as to why if the Democrats DON'T bring this up. I mean, the Republicans aren't going to hold him accountable and they've proven that over and over again. Now, whether or not Democrats should say that they're going to run to impeach him is a different matter, but arguing that Trump is horribly corrupt and that Democrats need to be elected to start to hold him accountable *should* be part of the argument in 2018 IN ADDITION TO the other stuff.

(22,912 posts)Those who are following Russiagate don't need any further urging. But Triump campaigned on "draining the swamp"and still uses that slogan to this day. He campaigned on representing the "forgotten Americans" while he loaded his cabinet with Billionaires and Wall Street Demons. And virtually his entire cabinet oozes corruption endemic to overblown entitlement of the rich to get whatever they want. It emphasizes whose interests Trump really protects and who he screws in order to do so.
