He got exactly what he wanted. The crowds are cheering for him in Singapore. He got the U.S. to recognize him as a world leader and NK as a world power. If Kim Jong Un gets nothing else, he will have been completely satisfied with this “summit”. Trump, on the other hand, still wants something from this meeting. And to make matters worse, Trump is going in with the appearance of someone who trashes their own allies... why would an opponent trust him to keep his word?

Trump is going in with a weak hand and Jong Un in the position of strength. Trump will give away everything just to look like he has equal footing.
