Canada’s House of Commons on Monday unanimously condemned President Trump and his aides on for attacks targeting the country’s Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.

Lawmakers approved a motion that rejected “disparaging ad hominem statements by U.S. officials which do a disservice to bilateral relations,” Reuters reported.

The symbolic move came after Peter Navarro, the White House National Trade Council director said there is a “special place in hell” for any leader who engages in bad faith diplomacy with Trump.

Canadian lawmakers also approved a motion that supports the Canadian steel and aluminum industry that has been hit by Trump’s massive tariffs, Reuters reported.

I find the first sentence to be a nice exhortation. The next two sentences make sense. And for decades, that's what we've had. The next is, again, a nice exhortative.

But the following one, "no truth", slips a logical gear. It presupposes that existence is to serve standing up for truth, and the only reason not to do so is to be complicit in it. There are many reasons for not standing up to hypocrisy and for not fighting for the truth.

The so-called "spiral of silence" is one that requires simple social pressure to accomplish huge hypocrisies. There are many more which are of greater consequence.

Personally, I rather assume this Kassem person fell for that particular problem. If you fight hypocrisy, you will have no peers and no friends, no readers. Unless they play games so that there's not "truth" but "my truth" or "your truth." Then she's already told everybody to take their equipment home from the game and disbanded the team.

It has been a long and hard fight to indoctrinate a significant portion of the population that the Democrats and anyone who opposes them are un-American, immoral enemies that must be vanquished. They are accomplishing what the communists have held as the most cherished dream.

I have to hand it to Trump and his henchmen. They have succeeded in accomplishing what every dictators, from Hitler to Mao and Stalin have failed to do. Hopefully we awaken before it is far too late.
