1. It's about time

I hope this goes all the way through the system. Expulsion is the appropriate action for his sense of "family values".

2. I didn't know Sessions was a Methodist - thought he was something way nuttier.

Also didn't know Methodists could excommunicate people (sort of). But I hope they do it, and I hope he fries in Hell.

3. I hope the rest of the churches pick up on this and do the same with

all their members in Congress, Senate, and Trump Administration who refuse to condemn Trump's policy.

5. there are multiple resolutions against the entire action from:

UMC (in addition to the Letter)
UCC
Lutheran
Presbyterian
All branches of Judaism
Baptists (several varieties)
Muslim
Buddist
Unitarian
Episcopalian
Roman Catholic

The UMC has divisions called conferences. I know specifically of 4 here in Texas that passed resolutions during their Annual Conference Meetings last week. Resolutions are normally tabled 24 hours before brought to vote but first there was a vote to suspend the rules and do it immediately since Conference was ending.

National Council of UMC Bishops also issued a resolution

The Letter though is very personal towards Sessions and I love it.

By sheer chance I managed to sign it
