Utah Western Journal: Kennedy Leads Over Romney 75%

Exclusive: Romney Losing… New Poll Shows Establishment Under Attack

The Western Journal conducted a political survey to gather information on the Utah 2018 Republican Primary Election.

The poll shows 76.7 percent of the 875 Utah respondents favor Rep. Michael Kennedy for senator and only 15.7 percent prefer former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney.

Ninety-one percent of the respondents have a favorable opinion of President Donald Trump, though only 73 percent consider themselves to be Republican.

This POLL doesn't consider the fact that Mitt has a larger goal in mind; and that the Romney family owns polling machines.

3. No way is this poll accurate.

This poll was conducted through Facebook by The Western Journal, which is a right-wing site that panders to white supremacists and Trump supporters. This is trash.

The last poll conducted in May by a local SLC paper had Romney beating Kennedy with 67% of the vote. No way, in less than a month, he went from leading with 67% to losing by 60 points.

Btw, Utah--more than any other red state--is anti-tRump. rMoney, multi-state resident that he is, is still Mormon, and in many ways a native son. He rode in on his white horse and "saved" their Olympics, for one thing. Further, in 2016 tRump couldn't even clear 50% of the vote, and a conservative "independent" pulled more than 20%. The idea that 67% will turn against rMoney now, on behalf of a trumpette, is preposterous.

I look forward to your "not so much" post next week.

The internals do not match Utahs reality.

5. Regarding your party affiliation, do you consider yourself to be a:

Republican — 73.0 percent
Independent — 17.1 percent
Other — 9.1 percent
Democrat — 0.8 percent

Utah party affiliation:

GOP: 54%
DEM: 30%

As I suspected - this isn't a newspaper or a "Poll". See:

The likely hood of Romney not winning is about the same as the Mormon Church accepting gay marriage in it's Temples.

Ever since Benson in the 60's the church has latched itself to extreme right wing politics, those that will vote in a primary in Utah tend to follow the brethren in everything they do.

I would not get my hopes up by this poll. It only asked those with a Republic identity on Facebook. It's about as scientific as The Pearl of Great Price.

Verses reality.

Surely the Mormon Church would never excummincate Mitt's 10% due to his sexual preference

I know people who were tortured at BYU with shock therapy on their genitals to turn them "straight". I know fathers who's children have been required to disavow them to go on a mission because their fathers are gay. I could go on and on, so yes the Church will excommunicate LBGT person. In fact if your gay and in a relationship its required by the current Hand Book of instructions (guide for the church hierarchy).

With what goes on behind closed doors (especially at Bishop level).

That being remarked - Sorry to hear you suffered - much.

As a sexually abused child, in the 60's, I suffered from being labeled a punk.

One has to wonder what the creator really has to say about it all????

with out tons of issues. I still have stuff I need to work on, and that often comes up at odd times, but the waters have tamed substantially over the years.

Sorry to hear about the abuse you suffered. I have come to the conclusion that I personally don't believe in a creator, it's more comforting than I thought as a believer. The answer to "this happened because" changes to it happened for no intended reason. Hopefully that makes sense
