CNN HOLLYWOOD: First Lady Melania Trump is planning ahead for 2020 and beyond. She recently entered into talks with Paramount Studios for a new sitcom, "The Trumps," which will feature the ups and downs of her daily family life, with one notable exception...Donald Trump will not appear on the show.
"Of course, it is purely fiction and meant to give you ha-has. I could not imagine going through life without my loving husband by my side, holding his hand as we walk across the White House lawn," Melania told our reporters.
"Just like Roseanne, in this very funny comedy, Donald is somewhere else. I don't want to give away surprises but I am upset over false rumors that he has been impeached. We know that he will serve two full terms as president, and in his second term he will abolish the 22nd Amendment and will serve another four terms. We are also not divorced. It is a surprise. I can't tell you."
When asked to comment on this new sitcom, press secretary Sarah Sanders said "I would refer you back to what the first lady has already said. I can't comment on the details of an ongoing sitcom negotiation."
Donald Trump could not be reached for comment.
