(8,694 posts)Of social coldness. During nazi occupation, the main transportation was public buses. Norwegians would refuse to sit next to nazis on the bus, would stand instead. This upset the nazis so the posted signs on the bus saying if there are empty seats you must sit, forbidden to stand.
