John Dean is speaking near me!

I purchased tickets for his gig on Thursday evening. He will be offering prepared remarks and then have a Q&A at the end. He has been so eloquent on MSNBC etc. and I'm excited to hear what he has to say. He will be specifically addressing Watergate, but it's not too difficult to bring it all to our current day.

Anybody on DU have any suggestions for questions?

Other than: "OMG WHAT THE HELL DO WE DO NOW??"

Assistance is much appreciated.

Ask him how to preserve democracy when the Checks & Balances of the Constitution are greatly weakened.

How will trump and top insiders react as pressure builds towards November?

How will trump WH paranoia, distrust of almost everyone else [poor within the WH communications], effect how competently trump can respond to new challenges?

If he is just going back to his hotel/motel he would probably appreciate a little company for a drink/snack/etc.

During his first book tour many, many year ago he spoke at my University. I went up and asked him if he had plans and if not would he like to join me and my friends for a little social time.
He immediately accepted. We went to my house and about 25 of my friends (mix of attorneys, law students and political science professors) joined us. John had a good time; said it was way better than a hotel room for a few hours before catching his next flight.
