A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to end separations for most migrant families at the border, and to reunify parents and children who were already separated within the next month, with limited exceptions.

1. This is encouraging

but I urge everyone to read Elizabeth Warren's Facebook post about her visit to two shelters in Texas. It was posted on DU yesterday and I am sorry I do not remember the name of the poster or the time posted. (Maybe another DUer can help me out?) Warren said that they consider families "together" who are housed in the same facility, even though they may be put in separate "cages" and cannot see other family members. The mens' "cage" is so crowded that there isn't room for all of them to even lie down.....The moms can hear the children and babies crying at night. Sanitary facilities practically non existent .... people housed there for weeks at a time .... It is appalling. Words cannot describe how repulsed I am and I am sure all of you here feel the same way. I feel so helpless that we are just forced to hear about this horror and can't do anything to stop it. I wrote to my Republican senator about it but what else can we do?

5. Ohiogal, I saw Elizabeth Warren's post on Facebook and was literally...

nauseous. Physically sick to my stomach.

While this order is indeed encouraging, the reason it had to be made at all is sickening beyond description. A disease that is reaching epidemic proportions.

We can’t as a nation trust one damned thing that spews from Republican mouths. Not one effing word. We already know the pathological lies dripping hourly from The Cretin are only to serve his own twisted sociopath mind and ego.

These families will continue to be treated inhumanely no matter what is ordered because those bastards causing this vileness live by Melania’s “fashion code.” We DO care. We, as much as it batters our hearts and psyches (I know I struggle daily) have to slug it out even if it is not our nature to do so. They count on us giving in and suffering in silence or worse, complacency.

Our Republican Senator never personally reads what is sent to him. His staff does. Portman dances to the Cretin’s tune as long as it keeps $ coming into his donor’s pockets. But even his staff will get exasperated enough if they are pummeled with emails and calls. It is a pyramid process so don’t get discouraged about writing! It IS part of the revolt. We do still collectively have the power to annoy the hell out of them until they pass along that anger upward.

Marching makes very physical statements. It also bolsters our confidence. Social media, I think is also right in their faces. It sure easily gnaws at the Cretin’s crotch. Getting/hounding (or shaming?) the media into doing its job is also
essential since they’ve enabled this disaster in “shitshow” ratings obsessions.

And if nothing else, we have our voice. Here, anywhere, a voice. Sometimes we need to rest our vocal chords to save our throat, but as long as other voices can fill in the needed respite, we make noise.

If we are seen as mere insects by this administration our masses joining together is what will overwhelm them. You can swat an individual insect but a swarm of them attacking can effectively kill you.

We have to swarm. We HAVE to.
