Did I hear Scarborough say once again that Trump is a Democrat?

Hey Joe, I'm still a Republican wannabe", Scarborough! If that was true? Your Republican buddies would have impeached him by now, period!

1. Maybe that's the plan

Maybe Joe want to convince Trump supporters that Trump is a Democrat trying to ruin the Republican party. We get the second part of that, and the Russia thing is Commie pinko, right?

2. I don't watch until 'After Joe' but...

I'm pretty sure calling someone a Democrat remains one of Joe's most heartfelt insults. Fuck him.

I don't want any part of M$NBC's 'fair and balanced' bullshit.

3. He and...

Mika refer to him as a Democrat al the time... mostly Joe. They support this lie by stating he gave money to the Clinton campaign. Obviously, he gave money hoping to buy influence. What kind of a Democrat picks the people Crooked Donald picks? He is a lifelong Deplorable, from a family of Deplorables.

4. Actually, it is true...

I took a photo of Trump at the Democratic Unity Dinner in 2001 for left-wing Mayoral candidate Mark Green. Bottom line is that politics are meaningless to Trump, and he signed up for whichever Party was good for his business at the time.

8. Actually it WAS true...

Trump used to be an unprincipled Democrat. Now he is an unprincipled Republican, a much better fit for one of his character.

Seriously, it is no longer an abstract exercise in political labeling. Trump, an ex-Democrat, is as much of a Republican today as ex-Democratic Senator Shelby is.

11. Not to mention - we would never have nominated someone like him

There was a Trump quote from years back where he spoke of it being more likely he could become a President as a Republican.

I know that even as President, he speaks of himself as a showman. It is probably true as the Republican party has more often been the party with policies concise enough to fit on a bumper sticker. It will be part of the Republican party's legacy that they not only nominated him, but they stuck with him enabling everything he has done. That means everything is on him.

The Democratic party is not responsible for everyone who says he is as Democrat, even if he/she is well known and gives money to candidates. Trump likely gave money to gain access and a place in the inner circle -- and while he got the former, he clearly resented he never got the latter.

He is ALL on the Republicans now. Consider that there are only 51 Republican Senators and one is not in DC. If they were not all lockstep behind him, they would not even have a simple majority on most things.

10. He has been a registered democrat

He was an Independence Party member, then changed to the Democratic Party. Then to Republican. Back to the Independence Party . . . and now back to being a Republican.

I am quite confident he is not done changing affiliations.

I have heard Joe refer to this before and I always interpreted it to mean he was registered Dem at one point in his bouncing affiliations.

12. The Democratic party does not have responsibility for everyone registered as a Democrat

The people we nominate and hopefully elect do. I would say that what President and Michelle Obama did and do reflects on our party. The same with the Carters and Clintons. As do people like Al Gore, John Kerry and Joe Biden. Then throw in some excellent Senators (too many to list) and Governors. These are the people that collectively define Democrats - our past, our present, and probably our future.

As obvious on twitter and elsewhere, these are also the people who the RW continuously attacks with distortions and lies. This is because they DO define - collectively - what the Democratic party is, they do want anyone to keep any good reputation they have. President Obama still has an impact when he speaks out because of who he is as well as his having been President.

As to a person who registered as a Democrat, voted and gave money, that would make them a member of the party, but not a leader of the party.

13. Reagan WAS a Democrat once, too.

But he changed parties, just as Trump did.

Joe Scar. also claims Trump is NOT a conservative, yet Trump's policies in office sure do match up to conservative GOPer positions, and not at all with liberal Dems'.

TRUMP'S CONSERVATIVE GOP POLICIES---
> Cut taxes on the rich and corporations
> Cut environmental regulations
> Pile on defense spending
> Oppose a woman's choice on abortion
> Blame brown immigrants for most of the country's problems
> Blame POC citizens for the rest of the problems
> Cut regulations on banks and corporations
> Oppose foreign aid
> Cut the social safety net (food stamps, etc.)
> Make a huge fuss about foreign (Muslim) terrorists but ignore domestic terrorists
> Refuse to do anything about mass shootings
> Deny climate change
> Defund Planned Parenthood
> Cut Affirmative Action regs
> Cut education funding and regs
> Push the Trickle-Down Theory like gospel.

I could go on and on. But if Trump is registered a Republican and was elected as a Republican and holds all the same positions as RepublicanS, then he IS a Republican... and an ass-backwards CONSERVATIVE one at that.
