Man accused of shoplifting book on ethics

University of Louisville Police are accusing a Prospect man of stealing a textbook called “Resolving Ethical Issues” and trying to sell it at a bookstore, according to an arrest report.

Terry J. Davis, of the 14200 block of Harbor Place, was arrested Wednesday and charged with theft by unlawful taking by shoplifting, a Class A misdemeanor.

Davis allegedly took the book from 555 S. Floyd St., according to the arrest report. The address is listed as UofL’s Health Sciences Center. ................(more)

I might have given him a pass on this if he had spent time reading the book. Seems that he needs to study it.

As part of his sentence, I would make him read it and write a book report.

Dad went to school at night on the G.I. Bill after World War II. His friend, Sam Hoover, was the mayor of Pasadena, TX in 1948. Dad convinced Sam to go to law school. Sam was incredibly brilliant, but later turned out to be a criminal.

One of Sam's memorable phrases: "Every good lawyer should steal his ethics book."
