My take on the Strozk interrigation.

The Republicans needed to convince a good majority of the American people that, when Mueller finally issues his report, that they should completely ignore it because the investigation is completely corrupted. They failed. Strozk did a good job of standing up to the barrage. Maybe a little too good, where he came across as somewhat arrogant, but that is better than wilting away like Lois Lerner. It was noticeable to me that toward the end the Republicans seemed to be cutting their losses by making the point that Mueller had released him from the investigation. Which could mean that Mueller was saving the investigation from bias or the appearance of bias. It seems it had become more about Strozk than the investigation.
