On Monday morning, President Trump retweeted a Twitter user who goes by “Maga Gold Hat NRA Aka Goldy” (@MagaGoldHat). The tweet Trump shared from the account promoted an upcoming event in Florida featuring Donald Trump Jr. and Rep. Ron DeSantis (R-FL).

MagaGoldHat has a history of spreading racist and sexist views on Twitter. The account once referred to Michelle Obama as “a tranny.”

MagaGoldHat has repeatedly referred to Barack Obama as a Muslim — the same baseless conspiracy theory that Trump rode to national political prominence during Obama’s first term.

MagaGoldHat has also smeared Muslims as rapists.

In May, MagaGoldHat replied to Trump, and demanded that Hillary and Obama be locked up and tortured.
