If you understand that the Rebuplican Paty today is the Organized Crime Party...this all makes sense

It's been this way since 92. When Bill Clinton got elected and Newt Gingrich became Speaker. Understand that BC had a humungus libido....it is a trait that most American Presidents have had since George was selected (Washington, that is). But Bill was the first President to pay the price for having adult women get attracted to him. So Newt Gingrinch, Bob Livingtone, Ken Starr, and Brett K went after him for....being a goddam attractive to the opposite sex. And Newt and Bob ran a witch hunt against Bill while BOTH were having their own affairs with people not their wives. Yes, that is hypocrisy.

But, the real point today. almost 25 years later is this....run for Congress as a Republican and you are already damaged goods. You are blackmailable. You do not get to run for federal office unless you are already comprimised. You get to run, only if you check your conscience at the door and are willing to vote the Party Line. No different then then their Russian or Chinese equivalent who runs for national office.

This is what Trump/Republican Party want. One Party rule where you cannot challenge the individual corruptness.

Enjoy the 1 Party state that is rapidly being constructed by the freedom loving Repubkicans.

...sometime during the Clinton years. Reagan, for instance, did seem to have a vision for what he thought this country should be. Profoundly misguided maybe, but at least he had one. What was the vision of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney beyond lining their pockets and the pockets of their rich friends and sticking it to people that pissed them off?

were key players in setting up extreme partisanship which has caused the GOP to become the crime syndicate it is today.
