Christ Christie back in the VP mix???

(maybe they think they need a big mouth gas bag attack dog?)

Christie Back in the Mix for Veep?
The Weekly Standard wrote an editorial last week urging Mitt Romney to "go bold" and pick Rep. Paul Ryan or Sen. Marco Rubio as his running mate.

An update: "As of Friday, when we wrote the editorial, we'd been led to believe Christie wasn't in serious consideration. We now have reason to think he may be. So to be clear: We'd certainly include him with Ryan and Rubio as potential gold medal finalists. As to choosing among the three of them? A photo finish. But choosing a VP candidate who will help Romney run a big, forward looking campaign--that is not a close call."

He has too much personality for someone like Romney. It would be like having a tight, revealing, leather-clad, Sarah be selected by ye olde farte like John McC . . . . . Hey, wait a sec.

Hm. I wonder.

on the opposite end of the spiritual spectrum.

And I doubt he'll be Mittens' running mate - Mittens is cautious, and he's also an egotist. I don't see him picking somebody who'd be likely to upstage him, and who also tends to be a loose cannon. That kind of thinking didn't help McCain (though I'll give Christie credit for at least being smarter than Palin).

Also, Christie has been known occasionally to stray from hard-core GOPer orthodoxy. Not too long ago he appointed a Muslim as a state court judge, and defended him quite emphatically. That might not sit well with the Bachmann-King-Gaffney contingent.

Finally, Mittens might be criticized for selecting someone who might not be able to serve as President. Christie looks like a myocardial infarction on two legs.
