FLIPPABLE: Vikki Goodwin for TX-HD47
In addition to raising a family in Southwest Austin, Vikki has been in the Austin real estate market for 13 years and is actively involved in a large number of local charities and civic programs. Through her professional and philanthropic endeavors, Vikki knows which issues matter most to the residents of District 47.
As the broker and owner of Goodwin & Goodwin Real Estate Inc., Vikki has a unique opportunity to work with and listen to Texans from all walks of life. She also has intimate knowledge of Austins building and development codes, and she understands how fluctuating economic factors are impacting the citys growth and those who live in it.
Earlier in her career, Vikki worked as a systems analyst with the Office of the Attorney General of Texas, where she helped develop and train specialists on the state's Child Support Enforcement System. She went on to open her own small business, Kids@PC, which contracted with several South Austin schools to teach children foundational computer skills.
In addition to running a successful real estate business, Vikki is an active member of Impact Austin, Austin Board of Realtors, South Austin Neighborhood Association, Foundation Communities, and Metropolitan Breakfast Club.
In 2010, Austin Habitat for Humanity awarded Vikki with the Karen Nordby Award for her excellent management of the Family Section Committee, and she has further honed her community leadership skills.
Vikki graduated from the University of Texas - Austin with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, where she studied Marketing and Government. She then went on to earn her Masters of Public Affairs from UTs LBJ School of Public Affairs.
An avid follower of Public Policy, Vikki continues to stay current on Texas politics and is committed to working with District 47 residents on the issues that matter most to them.
