Willard RMoney cant possibly release his tax returns for the past decade, because it will completely blow apart the entire right-wing, Republicant, Tea-bagger arguments. It will also completely demolish, once and for all, the idiocy of trickle-down, give the rich enough beer, and theyll piss on the Middle Class and Poor, economic buffoonery weve been dealing with since Reagan dog-whistled his first Welfare Queen.
Remember
their entire argument since Reagan has been; Were killing the rich with burdensome taxes and regulations, and, if we just let them keep more of their money, theyll invest in business and create good paying jobs for all Americans. After all, a rising tide lifts all boats, right???
What Willards taxes will show is that the rising tide was just a private lock on the Panama Canal. There was only ONE boat that was lifted, and it belonged to the 1%!
Suppose Willard paid NO TAXES for 10 years.
Suppose Willard exploited every loophole he could find to only pay 10% or less in taxes over those 10 years.
Suppose he used Bain as a vehicle to squirrel away $100M and probably more in a IRA with a $6,000 a year contribution limit.
Imagine a stinking inbred Tea-bagger seeing a man worth upwards of $250,000,000, paying NO TAXES, or a mere single digit percentage. Then imagine that Teabilly realizing that he paid 15-25% on income of $50K.
Now, there will always be enough Repukes that are just pissed-off that a black man is President, that they will still drag their asses to the polls to slit their own throats. There will be an equal number that would rather become a serf to their Ayn Randian masturbating masters, than admit they were wrong. And of course, you will still have the ignorant Cheetoes-Stained-Penis basement dwellers that think Fox is "news", with the added benefit of an occasional crotch-shot from a Barbie-doll, silicon-endowed hostess.
BUT, that wont be enough to prevent the Repuke Party from going the way of the Whigs. RMoney releasing his taxes would be akin to the Wizard pulling back the curtain.
Its going to be extremely hard to argue that the top 1% are overtaxed, when there will be black and white proof that a guy worth upwards of $250,000,000 PAID NO TAXES FOR THE PAST DECADE.
Even Christy Yamaguchi wont be able to spin that.
RMoney cant release his taxes, because the entire house of cards would come crashing down.
Thats why we need to keep the pressure up and insist that WILLARD SHOW US HIS PAPERS!!!

(15,334 posts)it's lose/lose for repukes all over this country.
Seriously, they'll still have their "hangers-on", but independent Americans that have been voting agaisnt their own self interest since Ray-gun put a kind, grandfatherly face on fascism will not be amused that they've been fed a load of shit for the past 30 years.

(5,213 posts)is that the Teabillies, when faced with evidence that they are paying income taxes at a rate 2-3x higher than Mittens, are PERFECTLY FINE with that.
They seem to enjoy getting screwed over by the 1% because they all think they will be the 1% sooner rather than later.

(15,334 posts)who think that if they just work hard at their $14.50 an hour job, they too will someday be rich enough to hide their money in tax-shelters in the Cayman's.
I ask them to do a simple math problem. If you saved $10 a day from the day you were born, how many years would it take for you to accummulate $1M?
Answer: 300 years.

...harder still if it comes out that Romney is a billionaire.

(37 posts)If his returns are a complex as we've heard, then it would take days to go over his returns for accuracy. If this continues to be an issue, I would not be surprised if the Romney campaign releases fake returns with not enough time left before the election to analyze them, and then get the news of the errors out to the voters. It would be his way of saying, "see, I was right all along." No one would know the truth until after the election.
