Finally. Some RAIN!!

It's been sweltering here the past few days (southwestern Ontario).

Humidex was up to 40 just an hour ago.

Then...I heard thunder. Opened up the windows, stood back and watched the show: buckets of rain, with more on the way.

I love thunderstorms. Especially after a heat wave.

I'm in Flint, MI. I keep hoping more rain is on the way, but no doubt I'll be disappointed. Sweaty and disappointed.

Sorry to hear of your misery.

Our heat wave just ended with the rain. At least for a few days anyway...

I'm having to water the gardens every day. We've been in the high 80's to mid 90's for a couple of weeks, now. Supposedly we will be cooler, starting tomorrow, but then supposedly we were going to get rain, for the past 3 or 4 days and all we got was a brief spit, this afternoon.

On the bright side, my tomato and squash plants are doing great.

Maybe some of this will head your way.

Here's hoping...

More rumbling thunder as I type this.

Saturday it POURED rain, and the temperature dropped (I kid you not) to below 70. It almost felt cold after the incessant heat.

Then the glorious sounds of thunder came.

It's still a little soupy because of all the rain in the air, but at least I can stand being outside!

Happy to hear that.

I've been forced to wait until after the sun goes down to take the dogs for their evening walk lately. Just way, way too hot.

In a bit, maybe we'll go splash in some puddles.

I'm in Tallahassee. Big thunderstorm this afternoon. Lightning hit the water main in my apartment complex. I'm now without water.

I am an engineer, but I just have never been able to convince myself to take a shower when lightning is happening. For the last week, we have gotten some massive lightning bolts, last week the thunder from one cause me by surprise and almost caused me to crap my shorts.

Would be nice if water could be easily moved around to where it is needed.

Looks like another downpour is about to happen.
