In their spare time, these are the guys at the sci-fi conventions. They dream it, then they do it.

In the post-landing conference six years was hinted at, and the lander's got power for at least fourteen.

secondarily it can also be used to analyze rocks, if any hostiles can't be found.

It probably wouldn't work, but I'd love it if there were check boxes that would allow taxpayers to designate that $25 to go to NASA, The Dept of Veterans Affairs, or the National Park Service. An additional thought -- if you agreed to reduce your return by that much, maybe it could be worked so that part of your tax bill went to a full or partial match.

OK.. nap time over. Back to reality.

The NC "education" lottery was supposed to deliver millions to the schools in extra funding. In reality, they slashed the education budget as the lottery was covering it. The schools had almost the same money, but it was supposed to be a bonus to the system not a way to divert tax dollars elsewhere.

but Mitt Romney is hardly the only American 'taxpayer' not paying any income taxes. In fact, about 50% of American households pay no income taxes.

Look at what you have to make to pay zero and not be rich. Just at or slightly above the legal (insanely low) poverty level.

I bet every single one of the people in that 50% would love to make more money and get bounced into a paying tax bracket.

For an extra bonus, if those 50% purchase just about ANYTHING they are in fact paying taxes, and lots of them.
