Is armed rebellion now justified?

Time to revisit that question now that we know Obamacare is going to cause a Papa John's pizza to cost 11 cents more.

After the SCOTUS decision:

Is Armed Rebellion Now Justified?

“Implicit in Benjamin Franklin’s fabled response at the conclusion of the Constitutional Convention was a dire warning: That the Republic would one day devolve into tyranny unless we the people prevented it.

In 2008, we the people elected Barack Obama as president, and the 100-year progressive trek to tyranny begun in 1912 with Woodrow Wilson’s election was complete. It cannot be said too many times — for the purposes of emphasis and clarity — that the Constitution was possible ONLY AFTER the American Revolution; and that the war itself would not have been possible without the collective agreement, as so eloquently articulated in the Declaration of Independence, that the course of human events will sometimes justify one group of people to sever themselves from their oppressors.

In other words, America itself was possible only after its people summoned the will to risk their lives and their futures — as well as those of their children — for a freedom they did not enjoy but knew was their gift from God. Along with their desire to be free came their willingness to engaged in armed rebellion for their freedom.

If government can mandate that I pay for something I don’t want, then what is beyond its power? If the Supreme Court’s decision Thursday paves the way for unprecedented intrusion into personal decisions, then has the Republic all but ceased to exist? If so, then is armed rebellion today justified?

God willing, this oppression will be lifted and America free again before the first shot is fired.”

Papa John's Founder Warns That Obamacare Will Lead to Imperceptably Small Increase in Pizza Prices

http://www.slate.com/blogs/moneybox/2012/08/07/papa_john_s_founder_warns_that_obamacare_will_lead_to_imperceptably_small_increase_in_pizza_prices.html

On a conference call last week, CEO and founder John Schnatter (a Mitt Romney supporter and fundraiser) said the health care law's changes — set to go into effect in 2014 — will result in higher costs for the company — which they vowed to pass onto consumers.

"Our best estimate is that the Obamacare will cost 11 to 14 cents per pizza, or 15 to 20 cents per order from a corporate basis," Schnatter said.

I can let a lot of things slide, but I'll be DAMNED if I'll pay 20 cents more for pizza just so some underpaid kids get good health insurance!

Damn you Obama, you've torn this country APART!

Other than its own sense of outrage?

If it happens in this nation, I believe a tipping point will have to be reached and passed.

Personal destitution?

Urban collapse?

Heck no one has a crystal ball, and you're definitely right if you're suggesting that talking points tend to sound stale after a while.

*However*

If true revolution hits this nation, all the sound bites, clever sayings, and catch phrases in the world won't stop the destruction.

8. South Postpones Rising Again For Yet Another Year

HUNTSVILLE, AL–For the 135th straight year since Gen. Robert E. Lee's surrender at Appomattox, representatives for the South announced Monday that the region has postponed plans to rise again.

"Make no mistake, the South shall rise again," said Knox Pritchard, president of the Huntsville-based Alliance Of Confederate States. "But we're just not quite ready to do it now. Hopefully, we'll be able to rise again real soon, maybe even in 2001."

Pritchard's fellow Southerners shared his confidence.

"Yes, sir. The South will rise again, and when it does, I'll be right up front waving the Stars and Bars," said Dock Mullins of Decatur, GA. "But first, I gotta get my truck fixed and get that rusty old stove out of my yard....
