MO has ballot amendments to bring votes-your state?

After 2016 a number of groups in Missouri decided to not sit back and wallow in misery . They knew that 2018 would be an important year and the chance to make a statement . The best way to get attention and get out the vote in a midterm? Ballot initiatives.

In August ,just in time for the primary we have Right to Work, aka Prop A. Labor has run a strong campaign against it and we should see a number of voters at the polls that never vote in a primary . An increase in voters is usually a good sign for Democrats.

The official ballot wording will be announced in August for the November election . As of this time it's believed that CLEAN (redistricting gerrymandered districts and decreases amount special interests and lobbyists can give politicians to $5.00,aka the coffee cup rule) and RUM (Raise Up Missouri , an increase in the minimum wage in increments to $12 an hour by 2023) will both appear on the ballot. In addition , 2 constitutional amendment bills and one statuatory amendment will appear for medical marijuana . All issues are expected to drive youth, working class, minority and the working poor to vote in a midterm.

Any states putting interesting bills on ballots for the GE? I do believe that it could be the key to getting people to the polls who normally wouldn't vote.

if they are targeted.

In Arizona, we have two pending petition signature verification, funding teachers pay increases and a clean election's requirement for candidates requiring disclosure of "dark money" donors.

I use the ballotpedia.org to get a summary for Arizona. They have one for every state. I am posting the link to Arizona for anyone interested in taking a test drive.

Funding is vital for our teachers and dark money is of great interest to the public . It might encourage voters who would otherwise skip a midterm .

is up for re-election and we had a mining Bill proposal on the ballot which should bring out voters... but we had mail-in ballots here and nearly half the state uses them, I do.
