It's probably what makes the conservative. The need to be told what to do and think. I have talked to several of them who read the amendments as as law of what is allowed instead of reading it as a check on what the government is allowed to do.

Slander, libel, threatening or harassing speech, false character assassination, or incitement to violence. Jones is guilty of all of those.

very well educated. Even handicapped by the effects of his personality traits on his thinking, which all extremists are, we should accept that he understands perfectly well. He doesn't agree with the bill of rights.

We forget at our peril that Cruz is extremely ruthless and ambitious, very much an extremist wild card, that his father calls him "the anointed one," and that he has done his best to develop a following among religious wingnuts. Thank goodness the Koch types he's sucked up to know they can't trust him, but since he has power they will try to use him against us anyway.

Not to bash Canada too much, but I’m guessing their schools don’t go into American history to the same extent as American schools.

Give the guy a break!

13. Actually, I would guess that they go into even more than American Schools do.

They don't teach jack at most schools these days. They don't teach civics. They don't really teach history. They certainly don't teach English. They don't teach how to write a book report or write any sort of essay. They don't even teach cursive writing any more.

My granddaughter is a Junior in HS and is on the Honor Roll every reporting period. I asked her if she knew who we were at war with in WWII. She didn't have a clue. Poetry? Nada. Who wrote the Declaration of Independence? Blank stare. Who did we declare our independence from? No idea.

All the tests they get are standardized, multiple-choice. (And some of them that I've seen are horrible. Obviously never proofread and impossible to answer.)
