Charles Koch says he'd work with Democrats who share his values

COLORADO SPRINGS — Billionaire industrialist Charles Koch extended an olive branch to Democrats during a weekend donor confab, saying Sunday that he wants to work with lawmakers regardless of party — so long as they work on issues he cares about — and admitting he has regrets about politicians his powerful network supported in the past.

“I don’t care what initials are in front or after somebody’s name — I’d like there to be many more politicians who would embrace and have the courage to run on a platform” that embraces the values he espouses, Koch told reporters when asked how he would feel about Democrats flipping the House of Representatives.

The Kochs' political network has been bombarding the 2018 midterm elections with millions of dollars to help Republicans keep their seats in Congress, but the tone of the weekend was a departure from previous years, when the Kochs engineered Tea Party opposition to Obamacare and positioned themselves as the archnemesis of the Democratic Party.

He and his fucking brother have destroyed Wisconsin. Our teachers, our schools and universities, our public workers, our unions, our roads, our environment, and on and on. I HATE him and his brother, and wish then everything bad imaginable.

Fuck Koch. I hope he and his brother die.

Giving an interview with nothing to back it up will no more win votes for us than Trump shooting someone on Fifth Avenue will lose votes for the Republicans.

It entails eliminating anything that limits his options. Overthrow every last remaining part of the New Deal, eliminate all worker and consumer protections, etc.

What Democrats need to do is remind everyone that Chucky is one of the people responsible for bringing about Trump's presidency. He has enough money to have made it worth most Republicans' while to not accept compromise. Since governing requires compromise, Republicans increasingly tossed aside anyone actually trying to govern in favor of grandstanding traitors.
