NRA Statement on 3D Guns

See, I told ya - 3D guns are a vector for implementing gun control - started 30 years ago!

Many anti-gun politicians and members of the media have wrongly claimed that 3-D printing technology will allow for the production and widespread proliferation of undetectable plastic firearms. Undetectable plastic guns have been illegal for 30 years. "Federal law passed in 1988, crafted with the NRA’s support, makes it unlawful to manufacture, import, sell, ship, deliver, possess, transfer, or receive an undetectable firearm.

2. So, because it is illegal to possess a plastic gun, nothing should be done to prevent the production

Why can't they just say 3D printed guns are illegal and shouldn't be made or promoted

10. 3D printing will be very lucrative to the gun industry

But not necessarily from guns themselves. Accessories and the ability to customize the appearance of your gun will be very popular. 3D printing is a long way from producing accurate gun barrels or high tolerance receivers.

going to make one, right? There's no reason to prevent the plans from being made public because we are all law abiding citizens.

a detectable metal plate embedded. I assume felons are not supposed to own them.

As usual, NRA and gunners are playing with semantics to protect their access to more guns.

Agree, plastic doesn’t make much sense. But gunners are so afraid of losing access to guns, they’ll cover any eventuality.

They all went on buying spree just because Obama got elected and a lot of those same nuts bought into Jade Helm which started with taking their guns so they went out and bought more guns. A lot of them don't use logic. The people behind the 3D guns are calling this a "free speech" issue.

good family fun.

I don't need guns to live - I don't hold them in the mystical awe you do. They are just guns.
