29. I went to a left-wing Catholic school

We learned about Nazis and the Holocaust. I was taught that it's our responsibility as global citizens AND as Americans to always remember the Holocaust and the mass psychology of Nazi Germany, and to always be on guard against it. It is so irresponsible that these Americans behave like an angry mob, completely unaware of or insensitive to the historical precedent for this behavior.

Being a good citizen means you care. Trump has legitimated a politics where people truly don't care about anything and loathe the media because it's detracting from their imagined hero.

It also reminds me of the two minutes of hate in "1984". These people have never made the time to read and think.
