Easy. Individual Jews and Catholics have committed heinous crimes. Being born to people of faith does not convey magical protection against committing murder, torture, etc.

was often brought up Catechism & in religion class at St Kevins. That oft repeated lesson surely had impact on the guilt/shame cycle in psyches. Any Rand indoctrination washed it out of him?
