(36,478 posts)I bet she lives in a nice house & drives a decent car. She probably doesn't have a huge savings account, maybe a couple of thousand dollars, but if her fridge went out today she could replace it on credit & she probably has health insurance & takes at least one vacation a year. I don't know her personal story, but I know the stories of the trumpers in my life & they are not living in poverty. They see that they have fewer opportunities than they used to & that they are not as secure financially as they thought they would be at this point in their lives, & they've been told for 40 years by hate radio that that is the fault of the Blacks, Hispanics, & uppity women. Oh & the gays, too, just cuz they love to hate them. The trumpers in my life do not think of themselves as bigots but rather as victims of Affirmative Action & open borders, although none of them would pick tomatoes for that rate of pay. To me it is so obvious that they are reacting to the white, straight, male as default being challenged, & that is being a bigot. Their continued support of president shithole is starting to leave a permanent markon them.

Nice huh.
