White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders on Wednesday defended President Trump's assertion that shoppers are required to show ID when purchasing groceries.
In one exchange during Wednesday's press briefing, ABC News reporter Cecilia Vega asked Sanders if she knew the last time Trump visited a grocery store as part of a line of questioning about Trump's support for toughening voter ID laws.
"Im not sure. Im not sure why that matters, either," Sanders said.

(2,244 posts)Can't remember the last time I had a Mountain Dew. But long ago I had a pretty gf from Tennessee who told me she grew up drinking Sun Drop. She still had her original teeth so it was all good.

(82,849 posts)A pretty common mistake, really. People often get groceries and liquor mixed up, and you can understand why the people at a Trump rally would get those items confused. Especially people at a Trump rally would confuse liquor with groceries.

(12,132 posts)He's such a joke - today saying "Well you need ID at Costco...and they sell groceries at costco so nothing I said is wrong..."
Everyone else on the panel was laughing at him and that's the way it usually is when he's on. I don't know how he doesn't see how wrong he always is.
