Beto has been visible & everywhere in N Dallas for quite sometime.
I have seen NO public displays for Cruz.
I take it as a good omen.

(13,044 posts)i took it to be a good sign that this deeply red state is waking up to the nonsense Cruz and his conservative cohorts have been peddling all these years.

(6,288 posts)Especially Amarillo. Isn't that kind of a red area?
Correct me if I have that wrong...

(13,044 posts)The blue areas in Texas are concentrated in and around the larger cities but the majority of the state is rural and red..
From what i can make of Amarillo, most of the city (pop. ~200K) is old, dingy and crime infested except the SW area which is new and affluent. It was quite a surprise to see not one, but TWO Beto signs in this one street yet no Cruz yard signs. I've heard people say Tx is a non-voting Dem state, and i think that's true in many respects. I'm hoping with this madness in the WH the current state of affairs will drive more Dems to the polls this November.

(7,522 posts)We have to work, donate and then of course vote. We've got to keep this train rolling, from small towns in Texas to big cities in Florida.

(1,822 posts)With Trump's voice saying it. Was wondering if the Dems are playing up that angle at all or not?

(10,024 posts)He has only 6 bills he has sponsored, mostbof which were fairly ipunimportant. One was relief after Hurricane Harvey, which any politician from Texas would have introduced. It is obvious that Ted Cruz wants to be a Senator only as a launching pad for the presidency, not because he has done anything, or will, for the people of Texas.

(3,275 posts)Please keep handing out those fliers. It can happen. Ted Cruz is really disliked. Beto will do a great job as senator.

I'm not prone to histrionics, look me up here if you like. I'm honestly feeling empowered and excited for once about our chances.
