Trump's Friday Night Document Massacre

Chuck Schumer @SenSchumer 2h2 hours ago

We’re witnessing a Friday night document massacre. President Trump’s decision to step in at the last moment and hide 100k pages of Judge Kavanaugh’s records from the American public is not only unprecedented in the history of SCOTUS noms, it has all the makings of a cover up. https://t.co/44KlYMqDwY

Doesn't the GOP expect to hold the Senate? There'll be plenty of time for comprehensive hearings after the mid-terms and for the next several years for them to push Kavanaugh through. But the Rs are sure acting like they'll be out of power after Nov 6th.

With no historical precedent I can think of to go on, wouldn't the interference of one branch in another's constitutional obligation be grounds for a court case? The SC should decide if this should go forward without the necessary documents for consent.
