Fox's Jeanine Pirro: Trump was 'framed'

BY TAL AXELROD - 09/02/18 07:01 AM EDT

Fox News host Jeanine Pirro said Sunday that she believes various forces in Washington have conspired to “frame” President Trump and bog down his administration with scandal and controversy.

“Nobody is looking at the corruption. It’s all one-sided, the corruption on the part of the Democrats," Pirro told radio host John Catsimatidis in an interview on AM 970 New York. "This president was framed. It’s that simple.”

“I’ve been in law-enforcement for over three decades. This guy was framed," Pirro continued. "The crisscrossing and the incestuous nature of our government in an attempt to prevent the outsider president that we wanted from getting elected is frightening.”

Pirro, a former judge and ardent supporter of Trump, echoed claims the president has made before that he was framed "for crimes he didn't commit."

In May, Trump tweeted an unverified claim that the FBI placed a mole in his campaign team and suggested that the agency was attempting to "frame" him for alleged wrongdoings associated with special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation into the Trump campaign and Russia.

Being sued for libel, incitement to violence or fraud is. Fox news hosts are testing this boundary every day.

it is extremely difficult to win a libel suit. Fox knows where the boundary is.

Nothing like a district attorney living with a convicted felon committing crimes that she benefited from. Oh, but that's yesterday's news.

Pirro Sentenced To 29 Months In U.S. Prison

Four months after being convicted of conspiracy and tax evasion, Albert J. Pirro Jr., the influential Republican businessman and husband of Westchester County's top prosecutor, was sentenced today to 29 months in a federal prison, concluding a trial that put the Pirros' lavish lifestyle on display.

The sentence rendered by Judge Barrington D. Parker Jr. was less than the 33 months that prosecutors had sought, offering some solace to Mr. Pirro, his family and the packed gallery of supporters who attended today's proceeding.

Yet for all of the moving testimonials from Mr. Pirro's friends and colleagues about his character and kindness, Judge Parker said that in the end, Mr. Pirro could only blame himself for improperly deducting $1.2 million of his personal expenses as business write-offs ''in mad pursuit of some American dream, with the cars, the vacation homes, the paintings.''

It was an assessment that Mr. Pirro did not contest. Instead, Mr. Pirro, who had been a formidable Republican lobbyist and one of Westchester's top real estate lawyers, told the court in a three-minute speech that he accepted responsibility for his actions. He said that he wanted to apologize to his friends, his fellow lawyers and, most of all, his wife, Jeanine F. Pirro, the district attorney.

Corruption...so easy, so rewarding...an so eroding to democracy.

Someone should make that a top campaign issue...folks hate and understand corruption...it is theft, from them!

I can see why you might think that, Jeanine. You guys do that reflexively. It's as comfortable to you as a favorite old shirt.

But this shit is real, Jeanine, and your guys are in it up to their hairweaves.
