Miami Beach Police Arrest Two Priests Caught Performing Sex Act In Car

MIAMI BEACH (CBSMiami) — Two Chicago-area priests were charged Monday with Lewd and Lascivious behavior and Indecent Exposure after being caught performing a sexual act inside a car parked on a Miami Beach street. According to Miami Beach Police, 39-year-old Diego Berrio and 30-year-old Edwin Giraldo Cortez were in the front seat of a car performing oral sex.

"It was 3:20 in the afternoon. This is in broad daylight, 13th Street and Ocean Drive. There are no tints on the window,” explained Miami Beach Police spokesman Ernesto Rodriguez. Police point out there is a children’s playground near the intersection of 13th and Ocean Drive.

When police arrived, it was still going on. Police said Berrio and GiraldoCortez were so engaged, they didn’t even notice that police were there. “We observed the two males performing the sex act, the officer had to tap on the window to get their attention,” said Rodriguez. There’s a time and a place for everything and this certainly was not the time and place,” said Rodriguez.

Both men were placed under arrest without incident. The arrest reports state both men are priests from Arlington Heights, Illinois, which is a suburb of Chicago. The address they gave comes back to the Mission San Juan Diego Parish in Arlington Heights. Berrio was charged with a misdemeanor charge of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior and GiraldoCortez was also charged with a misdemeanor charge of Lewd and Lascivious Behavior plus Indecent Exposure.

That my first thought was that at least it was to each other? I mean it could have been worse right?

I used to live a few blocks from there and that is by far not the strangest thing I remember from those days.

Maybe it's a matter of terminology, but is it proper to say they were both "performing oral sex" if, like, you know, one was doing more "performing" and the other one was more or less, uh, spectating?

Also, are there still cars with actually just one "front seat"? Like, if it was an old style front bench seat, okay, then I could see how both of them could have been "performing oral sex", but if we are talking about two front bucket seats, then no way are they going to both be in one "front seat" doing that at the same time.

The writing here stinks. A diagram would be useful.

I know from personal experience it can be accomplished, even while driving, in a 1971 Firebird with bucket seats and a center console.

And an 84 Chevette with a stick shift (but no center console).

We haven't tried in my new Chevy Colorado but we are both much fatter now and that console is bigger than all the others.

But the back seat is a full bench seat. Here's to dreams!

All kidding aside. I think that people having clearly public sex is disgusting, regardless of the gender or type of sex. I can see them thinking that they had a private spot and it was not. But sex out in day with children and people around is wrong.
