Pence.
After reading and listening all day, I think it's Pence.
He so desperately wants to be president.
He uses the word "lodestar", whatever that is.
He is in the cabinet AND, if I read correctly, according to law, the VP is the one who can bring the 25th amendment to the cabinet who would then bring it to congress to address. ???
And after watching Chris Hayes, the "cabinet" HAS been discussing the 25th amendment. The way the panel described "this person" it sounds like Pence.
Yes, gutless to be "anonymous" but yet, thank God.
And, no, I do not like him or agree with his crazy beliefs, but at this point I think roadkill would be better than Mr. Donald J. Trump, er, uh, Drumph!

(115,683 posts)Pence doesn't need to have his job protected because Trump can't fire him. I also don't think it was Pence because it doesn't contain religious overtones. For example, it uses the word "amoral," but a religious nut like Pence would use the word "immoral." There is also no mention of God, and Pence can't help throwing God into everything. And the op-ed is well-written and uses a sophisticated vocabulary, but Pence is a dope. When he was the governor of Indiana his nickname was Mike Dense. I don't think he's capable of writing something like that.

(27,814 posts)The PTB in the GOP have made a point of keeping Pence away from any controversy, in order to prevent him being covered in any Trump shit when it hits the fan.
Of his own accord, Pence is too cowardly to stand up for anything. If he's got his eye on the presidency (and I'm sure he does), he has no reason to jeopardize his own position as the next in line when Trump goes down.

Rachel is right, we are being prepped for the invoking of the 25th amendment.
