I've always listed my location on DU as 'England' since I think that gives necessary context for my opinions, but I don't feel like giving more information that might identify me if I don't want to be. And I post from a laptop, and use Twitter's own web pages when I (rarely) post there. So by the article's first two metrics, I could well be a Russian troll.

Or, it's not that useful after all.

The valuable part of this piece is (with my emphasis):

The trolls’ efforts take advantage of weaknesses in society; the only fix for that is for people as individuals and collectively to think more critically about online information, especially before sharing it.

..usually all the numbers are under 100 or even less.. then I mark them as trolls or bots to my followers...hopefully they block instead of engaging.

We had lots of arguments about all things Syria and Russia and he was very pro-russian. And the day before the election he stopped posting. And Yes, I remember his name.
