Either way, I'm convinced his last words will amount to "no collusion...witch hunt...Hillary...drain the swamp". At this point, his tweets amount to the recurrent ramblings of a doll with a string on her back that you pull for a half dozen different phrases.

6. If Kavanaugh gets in, Mitch & Paulie will be less inclined to turn a blind eye

They wanted the tax cuts...got 'em.

They wanted "conservative judges" and placements on the SCOTUS...got one, will probably get Kavanaugh.

They wanted to gut as much of Obama's legacy as possible. "Most" people (outside of DU, that is) haven't paid attention to the slash-and-burn "deregulation" activities because they're too busy watching Trump's tweets.

If you look at where the GOP was on Trump's inauguration day versus where they are today, there really aren't a lot of "big ticket items" left on their wish list, so Trump's usefulness as a useful idiot has diminished.

Once McConnell decides his belly is full, Trump will be history. Ryan's already on his way out, his "dream" and "legacy" was those frigging tax cuts. The ball really is in McConnell's court, unless the Blue Wave flushes out the Senate as well as the House.
