Herman Cain Suggests That Someone at The New York Times Wrote The Anonymous Op-Ed

On Thursday night, former Republican presidential candidate Herman Cain floated an idea that the anonymous New York Times op-ed didn’t come from the White House at all.

Appearing on The Ingraham Angle, Cain and Laura Ingraham welcomed the suggestion from Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY) that President Donald Trump should have everyone in the White House take a lie detector test in order to catch the op-ed author. However, there was one theory that Cain was eager to share.

“There’s one thing no one has brought up,” Cain said. “What if somebody inside The New York Times wrote it?”No one has ever brought that up.” That idea seemed to startle the Fox News host.

“That would be perpetrating a complete fraud on the American public,” Ingraham reacted. “You think they did that?”

“I didn’t say ‘I thought they did,'” Cain responded. “I’m saying that’s not being talked about. But that’s another possibility.”
