Related: Editorials & Other Articles, Issue Forums, Alliance Forums, Region ForumsI just got a thank you e-mail from Kyrsten Sinima (D candidate for Arizona senate).
But I don't recall donating to her campaign. I don't even recall knowing her name. She was unopposed in the primary, so why would I have donated?
What's up? Anyone know?

(94,792 posts)Sometimes a campaign will send a generic "thank you for your (collective) support" message to everyone on their email list when they hit a fundraising goal.

(13,783 posts)... doesn't explicitly mention money. It's clearly a generic "thank you" to some mailing list. But you'd think they wouldn't send such a letter to a mailing list that includes people who haven't explicitly supported her. In this case no harm. But it does remind me of how careful we have to be about unsolicited communications.... even from good Democrats. I could have been tipped over the edge to thinking I had donated and clicking the DONATE button.
