That's how I refer to them; Repukes are good phrasing things, knowing that we all hate red tape that seemingly causes delays and extra expenses. So they make regulations seem bad.
HOWEVER---most regulations are actually protections (of our environment, civil rights, banking accounts, etc.) and those are the only ones THEY want to roll back or "reform."
Just another reason I hate them and hate listening to them

(12,344 posts)And they are often so simple we ever even think about them. Why do all emergency exit doors open out? Well long ago there a fire where the exit doors opened inward. The results were tragic. So we have simple safety feature written into building codes so that no designer,, owner or contractor ever makes another tragic error with their emergency exits.
