It's like watching Serena play her younger self
Naomi won the first set but she's not looking as solid here.
Come on Serena break time.

(268,993 posts)Ramos messed it up because the penalty was unprecedented.
That said Naomi played really well. After 23 slam wins, Serena should have handled this differently.

(21,716 posts)I was nervous about this match after Osaka beat Keys, had a feeling that Osaka was going to win, but a shame that it had to happen the way it did. Serena is doing well at the trophy presentation, not emotionally but she is saying the right words.
Naomi is Serena but 17 years younger. Lovely comments from Serena.

(21,716 posts)For her to be able to tell the crowd to stop booing, I have to give her props. And I think she feels bad for Osaka. I do too, it doesn't look like she is enjoying her moment

(29,658 posts)admire your insite and comments. I was so worried Serena would not handle it as best she could. She did prove that she IS a champion with what she did and said after the match was over. You go girl. And you are right Naomi is the mini Serena.

(23,340 posts)... it's time for youth to win.
But, I expect to see a good run from Serena in January in Australia.
