5. Here is what happens after they overturn Roe v Wade...

They make abortion a federal crime which will supersede state laws that legalize abortion. At that point the feds will move in and threaten doctors who provide abortions with prison and heavy fines. They will scare doctors to the point that none will provide abortions. Whether or not they punish women with prison is not clear, but if they see a lot of women getting illegal abortions that would be their next step as a way to completely eliminate as many abortions as possible.

SCOTUS is the last line of defense, not the states. That is why sane sexy couples are allowed to marry now. Federal laws and court ruling override states.
